Baseball in Mississippi is more than a sport - it's a deep-rooted tradition woven into the state's cultural identity. In this engaging presentation, Andrea Patterson will highlight the pivotal figures, unforgettable moments, and enduring spirit that define Mississippi's baseball legacy, drawing from her work preserving stories and celebrating excellence at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.

Andrea Patterson became Executive Director of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in June 2025, after first joining as an intern in 2012. A University of Mississippi alumna with a degree in marketing and management, she has helped grow the museum's mission through marketing, outreach, and events. Andrea now leads operations, fundraising, and strategy, while also serving as Race Director of Mississippi's largest 5K - the Farm Bureau Watermelon Classic. Passionate about local sports and their national influence, she champions the museum's statewide impact. Her favorite exhibit is the Sports Illustrated Wall of Fame, which reflects the national reach of Mississippi athletes and their stories through decades.
