The Lauren Rogers Museum's adult and teen education programs are designed to inspire and encourage lifelong learners! Advance registration required for most programs. Please follow the links below to sign-up for classes and workshops or email info@LRMA.org for assistance.

Adult Pottery: Throwing on the Wheel
Wednesdays · October 2, 9, 16, 23 and November 6*
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm · Carriage House Studio
$125 members / $140 non-members
Instructor: Byron Myrick
Join us for this 5-session class focusing on the art and technique of throwing on the wheel. Supplies are included and ceramic enthusiasts of all experience levels are welcome. Space is limited and registration is required.

Looking for a creative night out? Join us for a relaxed and fun guided painting experience. From the set-up to the supplies to the step-by-step instructions, everything you need to confidently create your own original work of art will be provided. Absolutely no experience necessary.

In each of these workshops, participants will use various clay types and unique surface decoration techniques to create beautiful pieces of art for inside or outside their home. No previous ceramic experience necessary and all materials and tools provided. 


Cell Phone Photography 101

Instructor: Chad Edwards
Whether looking to capture great landscape or portrait photos or simply hoping to learn helpful tips to begin observing your surroundings in unique and exciting ways, this class will teach participants how to dramatically improve their cell phone photographs. Local photographer Chad Edwards will spend time covering basic photography principles and camera components before leading the class on a photo walk of the neighborhood.
